Spring Bank Plc, Mrs. Shola Ayodele, has said the bank considers as top
priority the expansion of its branch network.The expansion, she said, would provide an opportunity for
the bank to demonstrate its readiness to partner with the people, government
and organisations in various states of the federation.The Spring Bank boss said this at the formal opening of
the bank‘s new branch office on Maiduguri Road, Sokoto, Sokoto State.The bank, in a statement on Saturday, quoted Ayodele as
saying, â€The leadership style, which has made Sokoto State a safe haven for
investors, attracted Spring Bank, coupled with the genuine effort made by the
governor to woo investors into the state.†She said the state government had been encouraging
public-private partnerships, and that attracted the management of the bank to
partner with the government.The Sokoto State Governor, Alhaji Aliyu Wamakko, said he
was happy that the current management of Spring Bank realised the business
potential that abounded in the state.He said his administration had committed a lot to
creating an enabling environment for investors like Spring Bank to thrive, a
development, which he said, had continued to attract businesses to the state.With the new branch that is strategically located in the
heart of the city, the governor assured the bank‘s management that the people
and government of Sokoto would lend the required support to ensure that its
coming would not only be rewarding and mutually beneficial, but would also
attract other investments to the state.As part of its corporate social responsibility
initiative, Ayodele said Spring Bank over the years had successfully built
relationships in different states, a trend that it would continue to explore,
even as it set objectives of providing seamless banking services in all the
states.She said, â€All these I believe, will in
no small measure contribute towards building a stronger economy in line with
the objectives of the government of Sokoto State and the country in general.
